Has anyone tried glucosamine/chondrointon/msm or Celadrin(revivex) for osteoarthritis? Any luck?

Hi ferfyw,

I take glucosamine/chondroitin 2 x day. Triple strength, Sams kind?! My rheumatologist told me to. It does help a little. It takes about a year to show any improvement. Have not tried the other thing. But, I am also on Tramadol (small pain med.) and skelaxin (muscle relaxer). The combination of these 3 meds., do help to keep my arthritis pain under control. Is not all gone, but better. So I guess, I am not all alternative, just part!

Take care and feel better. Wannabe

I've been using the celadrin for a short time, and like I said in another post, it may be coincidental but the stiffness in my feet in the morning seem to be much better. Apparently it is supposed to act as an natural anti inflammatory, reduces pain and inflammation and is supposed to be a safe alternative to NSAID's . Studies have shown that celadrin improves flexability, flat ground walking and going up and down stairs. Another nice thing about celadrin, it's very affordable.

How long does it take to feel results from taking celadrin?

With me, I noticed a difference with lessening stiffness of my feet within a couple of days. I haven't noticed a difference with the joint pain in my knees and back as of yet, but I've been taking it for such a short time, plus there are times where I forget to take it. According to the information on it, you should get some pain relief soon after taking it, but further improvement should come with continued use.
Maybe, there is someone reading this, that has used celadrin for more than a week or two that can tell us more. Good luck.
