I have never had a boil (T1 for almost 40 years) but I know that I have heard it said that the tighter your control, the more likely you are to get them.
Your doc seems very casual about this. It should be taken seriously. How have your sugars been running? Can you get better control to help deal with this? Has your doctor suggested anything or does he/she just seem to feel that you have to put up with it? If he does, I'd find another doc.
Good luck.

Cora, did you mean the tighter control the less likely?
