hi i am a 30 yr old female who has been experiencing reflux, i believe, for 1 year now, i have also since the reflux had this constant congestion in my throat with a raspy feeling when i cough.....i dont know if this is from reflux it is driving me crazy my doc said its allergies, i am on prilosec also they said i have asthma, i went to an ent and he said reflux burns your throat so that could be what i am feeling he gave me some kind of steroid...it has gone away at times, then comes right back, i also have some wheezing with it but i feel i need to cough all freaking day long because i need to get it out....can anyone help, its a heavy feeling or pressure...also prilosec isnt helping my indigestion much anymore....

I think you said a mouth-full right there ;) Sounds like most of your symptoms are "acid reflux" related and if the medication was working, you wouldn't have them. You may want to talk to your doc and let him know your medication isn't working for you and ask him to prescribe something else.

I'm a little surprised that he gave you a STEROID for a sore throat, though :confused:
