My friend's fiance called her the other day to tell her he has chalymida. He is in the coast guard and stationed far away so they hardly see each other. He told her he must have got in from a toilet seat...is that even possible??? She believes him, but we all think there is a possibility he cheated on her. :nono:

Hi nicole, Chlamydia is passed on through vaginal, anal or sometimes oral sex. No other way.
If your friend has tested negative for chlamydia since she started seeing her fiance and he has now got it, then he has slept with someone else.

No. If both of them have tested negative since they got together and now he has it, he has been with someone else. STD transmission rates are not 100%. It is entirely possible that he had chlamydia before the two of them got together and that it was never transmitted to her. Of course, we don't have a lot of info, here.
That said, the man is lying through is teeth! Chlamydia is transmitted through sexual activity - period! He did NOT get this from a toilet seat. In my mind, the fact that he would even say something so ridiculous proves that he is lying.
Good luck to your friend.

You cannot get chlamydia from a toilet seat. Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease. Unless the "toilet" has a "vagina" then he didnt get it from a toilet.
Sorry for the humor...but its poor humor that her fiancee even said something so absurd.
