I've have had this problem since New years. I had protected sex with a girl I dont know that well. Right afterwards, I had itchiness around the base of my shaft. I thought it was irritated skin so just applied some hand lotion. This made it worse and soon the "itchiness/rash" started and spread all the way down to my tighs, balls and anal area, and one spot on my penis and penis head. The penis head had turned "white" as if there was some foamy growth.
I've been to the doctors since then and have been on anti-funal oniments. That helped bring down the itchiness and my skin doesnt peel anymore. I thought it was just jock itch and continued to live the best way I could. But it was winter time so it wasnt that muh of a bother. Come summer, its been terrible!
I've been to many docotors and the new ones dont see any visible sign of fungus. So think I'm beying hypocondriac. Whereas the old doctor who saw me in winter time thinks its still a presitent fungus and has me on Diflucan at 400 mg/day. The medication helps I think.. but it doesnt get rid of the itch compleltey.
This is unbearable for me and I'm afraid of losing my job. I can no longer focus at work because of the itch. I've tried the following creams
- Lotriderm (Jan - April)
- Loprex (May, didnt help at all)
- Clortimazole (June-present)
- Tericonzole (July)
And orally I'm taking Diflucan for the past month. I would appreciate some help or advice on what options I've. I've lost all of my summer but I dont want to lose my job/social life. Please help. This is killing me.
