Please help us; My father was a truck driver, and he had an accident in New York back in 2001. He has went through multiple surgeries, stress, panic attacks, etc. It's hard to watch him suffer like this, for I am his daughter of only fourteen. We've been struggling for money because we haven't recieved any pay from his employers, and we have yet to go to court to settle the whole w/c thing. All I can do to help him is search online for his desired answers, but we find it hard to locate the information he needs. Recently he has been tring to find information on average claim settlement pays. Can anyone offer some information that I can show him?

Has your father talked to a lawyer? If he hasn't he needs to and they don't charge for the consultation and if they take his case your dad doesn't have to pay the lawyer but the lawyer does take a % of the claim he gets. Sometimes when you have a lawyer you get more because the more he gets the more the lawyer gets. Also has he applied for aid from the state, food stamps emergency funds. Good luck and I hope your dad feels better soon. I'm going thru the same thing. W/C stopped paying me and my lawyer is getting a hearing with the judge to get w/c to pay for my surgery and my back pay
