I was wondering if having cavities/decay/root canals to be done ...if they are bad for your health, especially in the long term. I know their infections, this is why I was asking. Any info anyone can give would be great. Thanks

Yes, yes, yes! You need to see a dentist and have your teeth repaired. If a person develops any type of infection in the body, it needs medical treatment - especially in the area of the mouth, where an infection can spread to your ears, eyes and even to your brain. If you don't have dental insurance and need care, make some calls to the various dental offices in your area and ask them if they ever offer free clinics. Many of them do - they just don't advertise it.
