Hello,
My husband often gets a big lump under his skin on the back of his neck, just below his hairline. It will stay there for maybe 3-5 days until it pops, then ther is a lot of puss that will come out, then a mixture of blood and puss then just blood. It will come and go in the same spot every time. I tell him that we should go to the doctor about it, but he refuses. This worries me alot. It's been years since he's been to a doctor for a check-up. Does anybody know what this lump could be? Please help! Thanks

my husband gets these too. Not that big though. Sounds like an ingrown hair or a boil. Probably nothing to worry about unless it is MRSA a resistant form of staph (the bacteria that causes these things.)
