View Full Version : Nausea in the morning

I'll start out by saying I'm NOT referring to morning sickness with women/pregnancy. I'm a 31 year old male who exercises 3-5 times a week and I would consider myself to be in better than average physical condition than most people in my age group. I drink plenty of water and rarely (once a month if that) drink soda or sugary drinks. I watch what I eat most of the time but also like my junkfood/fastfood without over doing it. My problem is this: Almost every morning I feel slightly nauseous, and sometimes it's a bit more severe, but never to the point where I feel as if I'm going to vomit. This also goes along with a couple of loose bowel movements an hour or so apart after which I start feeling better. It's usually at it's worst shortly after I eat something, which usually consists of toast, some cereal or a couple of cereal bars along with some water, coffee or skim milk. Big breakfasts are pretty much out of the question all together. It's not as though i'm not hungry in the morning because I feel hungry shortly after I wake up and sometimes my stomach is growling. I also can't link any of this to what I ate the night before because it seems to happen regardless of what foods I had. Any input on this would be great. Thanks!

Just a guess but it might be irritable bowel syndrome or GERD. There are boards for both on this site. Might direct your questions there. Good luck.

You may have lots of sinus drainage that would cause the nausea, not sure it would cause loose bowels unless there was a lot of thick mucous.
