You have posed an interesting question, though, since I have never thought about finding a prostitute (seemed as though I was lucky (or not) without that), I may not be the best resource.

I think there are any number of reasons all having more to do with spiritual, social, relationship inadequacies as well as self-image issue. We are raised in a society that truly believes that you can "buy" just about anything and, being consumer oriented, I think it is evident that sex is just one of those items. Unfortunately, it appears as though the posts have reflected bad choices and the guilt, anxiety and panic supercede good judgement. I wonder, if there was no threat of HIV or STDs, if the guilt would be as strong and I confess that it probably would not. Just as an aside: the best man in my wedding who was pretty wealthy once told me that I didn't know how good sex could be until I spent the night with a $1500 a night hooker. Now, I am not a purist by any means, but I was really dumbfounded since he had been married to his wife for nearly 35 yrs at the time (they've since divorced).

Obviously, the point is that if you pay for the sex, then your fantasies will be fulfilled. Seems like it doesn't always work out that way, does it?

Heeeheee Chris your just a lucky guy I guess. Now my opinion of why men go to hookers. Well one thing they can have sex and not have to say I love you especially when the wife is at home. There are some guys who are just socially inept and its just easy to go pay for what they want instead of doing the mating dance,"not that mating dances last for long anymore" Then there are the ones, who are incapable of commitment, "Sheeeez did I say the dreaded word, I am a magnet for those ones oh yeh!" Actually a magnet for something else comes to mind but not a nice word. Then there are those poor guys who marry a beautiful woman who smiles all the way down the aisle because she is thinking, "teehee I just gave my last bj" and proceed to get fat and lazy. Hookers actually are good for society they serve a purpose and some of them are quite nice , I am only speculating on that for I have never sought the services of one, male or female, but ya know!!!!! maybe a male one would be a nice date he would behave well, not gawk at other women, and be ready for anything....Awwww, too bad I am one of those women who think that intimacy and sex go together.....besides I don't think I would like to have to pay him lol. Thats my two cents worth.... :angel:
