Hey... I've heard some about mayo being wonderful for your hair. I'd really appreciate reading some success stories... did it add shine, softness...? THANKS!

I've read a lot of different stuff on mayo making your hair soft and straight...basically giving it the appearence of being "thinner".

I tried it once; it didn't work. I didn't put a lot in my hair or anything..so maybe that's why it didn't work. I also didn't use very "fattening" mayo, so maybe that's another reason. I've heard from people that you're suppsed to use the kind with a lot of fat, and use a lot of it.
But...of course that would make your hair smell horrible!
I've heard from too many people complaining about using it and not being able to wash the smell out for weeks. There's no way I'd ever wanna put up with that.

So I suggest you don't try it. If you REALLY want to, then go ahead. Just make sure you don't use a lot and don't leave it in your hair for long because your hair will soak up the smell, and you don't want that.
I'd much rather just get a good conditioner and an anti-frizz serum. I sometimes use the Pantene serum that comes in a little bottle... it makes my hair really soft and shiny; oh, and it smells great!

I used to do it once a week and it works fab....just wash your hair with a strong scented shampoo after or else your going to smell like you should be rubbed on a sandwich.
