My dh was dx'd with psoriasis several years ago. So far we are thankful that it hasn't been a bad case, but he does have to stay aware of it so it doesn't get too out of hand. But, in the past year, he first had a shoulder ache..then one elbow and now the 2nd, his knees ache-to the point of taking ibuprofen in the night because they wake him up, and his lower back can ache too. He gets swelling in his feet and his hands as well. Now I imagine some of you reading this are having your heads bob up and down!LOL Well, I have done my usual on line reading..and he does seem to fit the psoriatic arthritis criteria...but my question is..which sort of doc to go see??? I have fibro..and my first visit to a rheumy was 400$. I don't want him to go to the "wrong" doc!!LOL We do have insurance ..but it won't cover it all.
I would appreciate what ever help you can give...thanks!

One way to find out would be to call both doctors and ask if they treat psoriatic arthritis and how much their fee would be. But my guess would be a rheumy.
