hello, anyone know if time spent in baths can alleviate the symptoms of Osteo Arthritis ? my mothers housing officer has just advised removing the bath to be replaced with a shower.my mothers been pescribed fosamax after only recently being diagnosed with Osteo Arthritis ,i wonder if at later stages of her illness a warm bath will provide invaluable restbite.is there any medical or anicdotel evidence supporting this thought.cheers

I think you may be able to find medical evidence that heat and moist heat helps ease the pain and stiffness of arthritis. If she didn't have a tub at her residence could she go to a spa or into a warm pool at physical therapy and sit in the water there?
