HI! After reading a few messages, it uplifts Me, I have been on every diet, I have dieted all my life but it seems the past 10 years that has gone out the window. I was on podimun yes that is part of phen fen, and I don't think it helped. Now I have gotten to the point that it is time, time to take charge of Me again. When My husband and I met I lost 14 pounds in 6 weeks, I was roller blading and biking regularly, in 2001 we were in a head on crash and I broke 4 ribs and after almost a year we find out I had closed head trauma and 2 bulged disc's the last few months my neck has gotten worse, but the last 2 weeks I am doing some exercises and stretches. I need to get this weight off, I am going to be 42 in Nov and I don't want to feel older than I am. I don't look 42, so why should I feel it! So I am hoping not just me but all of Us, get in there and just do it! I will try to encourage everyone I can, and hopefully everyone will encourage me too.........Good Luck

I am also new to dieting. After MANY years of pain from back and arthritis problems I was taking pain and other medications to help. In December I was in a car accident that made matters even worse. Then in February I had a sort of seizure that also caused a minor stroke and I developed ARDS (adult respitory distress syndrom) and had to be intubated. I was in intensive care in a comma for 3 weeks and another week recuperating. I came home mid-March. I had to start from scratch on my muscles as they had dispapeared during comma.
I started out by walking around the block and built up to further. After a month of this I started eating healthier and decided I wanted to lose weight. I weighed about 185 last Christmas but had lost about 20 lbs. in the hospital (which was mostly muscle loss).
I am 37 yrs. old, 5'2", med. frame and would like to weigh about 120-130. I started taking Herbalife as a vitamin/herb supplement and love it!! The energy is wonderful and not at all jittery.

I am now excersing 5 days a week (2 days of light weight lifting - body pump, 2-3 days of aerobics (interval and low impact) & 1 day of walking 45min. - because for me variety is the key) eating low carb high protein and feel absolutely wonderful!! I eat as many vegetables as I want and do them all different. Raw, steamed, dipped, stir fried, on a salad or in a soup. I like extra lean meat, especially fish, chicken and turkey (very rarely eat beef). I do a high protein shake with a banana for breakfast, tea or protein orange drink mid morning, either a protein bar or a veggie lunch, a meat and salad dinner and usually have sunflower seeds or non fat jello for a snack. I drink tons of water and love the Herbalife erergy tea and other stuff (you can find info on any search engine). I have lost weight but also gained muscle tone so I'm not expecting the great loss yet (weigh 1 time a week). Oh, I also take a fiber supplement (psyllium husk, can get anywhere) but mostly because when I take it with a glass of water if fills me up so helps with any hunger that I might have (also as part of Herbalife there is an appetite suppresent).
Hope this encourages anyone who might have doubts. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
