Nuts for the protein and EFAs, dried fruit for its fiber [and as a sweet] and some bottled water. Avoid anything overly salty because your body tends to dehydrate very rapidly during air travel.

I kind of do the same as Jay suggests. I bring raisins, seeds, nuts on the airplane. They keep for a long time. You don't have to worry about them spoiling.

Oh, and yes.... I bring bottled water too. I don't like the sodas and other unhealthy drinks that are served.

On the airplane, I'll just order water with ice. The bottled water is when I'm waiting at the airport or during other periods of traveling.
