I have been researching over the net some of the symptoms I have been having and I was told about serotonin syndrome. Has anyone ever been diagnosed or know anything about it.

I have been on Effexor XR for my depression from Connective Tissue Disorder with symptoms of Lupus. I also take Ultram 100mg up to 3 times daily. My doctor over the last 3 months increased the amount of Effexor I was taking. Since that time I have been extremely anxious, nervous, my heart rate has increased significantly, my mouth is extremely sore. I feel as if my tongue is swollen and has sores like acid blisters all over it. The inside of my cheecks are rough and sore. I have been doing extremely good mouth care but if continues. I have this creepy feeling inside at all times. I am figity and can't stay still.

Please help if any one has experienced this.

Thanks CL1159

I haven't had this problem myself. But if the symptoms started which is sounds like they did. When you started the Efferox then that is more then likely your problem. Iwould go in and discuss this with your doctor and try a different med.
