View Full Version : Fusion of both ankles

Hi! I've been reading these boards for awhile now and I'm somewhat freaked out about what some of the people that have had an ankle fusion have been
saying. I was wondering if anybody out there has had "both" ankles fused and
if so, how has it turned out? I'm facing this possibility due to osteoarthritis that has developed in both of my ankles. I'm only in my 40's and my career requires that I be on my feet 10 to 12 hours a day. Will I be able to walk, let
alone work after this? I'm truely frightened of the possibility that I won't. I
don't have anyone to depend on but myself. Any feedback would be greatly
appreciated.
