I went to the doctor and got the full gamit of STD tests. Went to the Dr. again and got 10 days of doxycline for non-specific urethritis. This is what they say you have when you're gonnorhea & clap tests come back negative and you still have symptoms. After that I went to the free clinic because I thought to myself, who see's more STD's than these nurses? I told the nurse the story about how I cheated on my wife at a San Francisco Sex club and she said I have GPS. "What the heck is GPS?!" I asked. She told me it was "guilty penis syndrome" and was psychological. The burning, the frequent urination, the night sweats, the visible redness around the urethal opening. All in my head!! Since then I've been to a urologist he also said I looked normal. Has anybody else experienced anything like this or am I just completely crazy?

Glad to hear you're symptoms are lessening, mine seem to be slowly getting better also. Although some days I seem to have flare-ups other days I feel almost normal. Who knows probably some kind of fungus or something.

This happens a lot. Doctor's can't find anything wrong and, generally, the symptoms go away, so they attribute it to stress and guilt, or say it is prostatitis and attempt to treat it with doxy or Cipro, even knowing prostatitis is a general catch-all diagnosis that is not always cured with antibiotics. This often comes following unprotected oral sex, but I have no proof that it is something real, other than men who have cheated before without guilt will get something this, which makes me think it is, sometimes at least, real. I suppose you will gradually get better, though sometimes men complain of symptoms for years.
