I have recently been introduced into the world of soy and veggie burgers and I must say I love it! I have tried the soy vanilla milk, which was excellent and soy cheese, which was so good and a relief since I cut out cheese from my diet due to it's fat content. And I get the gardenburger variety of the veggie burgers, they are so good! I eat one in between 2 slices of light whole wheat bread along with some soy cheese and a sliced tomatoe.
Since I'm new to the world of soy and veggie-burgers I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions to some even better products. Also I know soy is good for you, but I'm not quite certain on all the benefits of it so if anyone has anything to input please do so, any informations is great!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't think soy is the best thing since sliced bread - the way it is being promoted to be. Run a web search and you will come up with more controversy than you can imagine. (The con side is summed up at mercola.com.)

Personally, I now only eat fermented forms of soy - tempeh, miso.

You do a web search on ANYTHING and you'll get a mixed bag of results.

So, LooneyJM, what's your point? You think it's better not to look into things?

I've done alot of research on soy, and I came away with the feeling a little maybe, but lots...No. It interferes with estrogen and all number of things. I agree about mercola - great info. Also westonaprice, Dr. D'adamo and others. These are reputable sites of information. The gardenburgers do taste pretty good though. Proper eating can sure be a rollercoaster ride, fads change with the phases of the moon. It really pays to listen to your body. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Moderation is key to a healthy diet.. don't overdo the soy.. or fat.. or dairy or any aspect of your eating. Garden burgers are great from time to time.. Also I would suggest trying Vanilla Rice Dream instead of soy milk.. very low cal..tastes great. Its great to find new foods to add into our diets... just be reasonable in the quantities you consume.
