boylanpower...

Your body will go into starvation mode if you eat that small amnount of calories.. your body will want to store all your fat and lose your muscle.. leaving you thin and flabby. I would up your calories to 1500 a day and cut one day out of exercising.. You should lose 1-2 pounds of fat a week. When you lose more then that a week you tend to be losing water and muscle. I would suggest adding a protein to your lunch.. and have a sensible dinner.. possibly a protein and a veggie. Make sure you drink 2-4 liters of water a day while you are exercising. You should look into making a lifestyle change.. not a quick fix.. in the long run you will be much healthier with great muscle definition.

gee thanks for the input.
After some thought I have decided to bumb it up to about 1000. I drink like 2 galons of water a day or more so i would think that would keep my metabolizm up. MY idea is to first quixk fix and then do what i can to maintain it.
thanks

First of all, I admire your agressive determination. That's a very important part of the lifestyle change you are proposing. But make sure you stay realistic.

I would REALLY reconsider 1000 calories per day. Your metabolism most likely will decrease or even shut down because of lack of energy. I've been where you are and have done that. Even though it's frustrating and takes longer, I would suggest cutting no more than 500-800 calories per day (experts say to cut even fewer). While the weight loss will be slower, youre metabolism should not decrease as dramatically. If you keep the exercise up, you'll be losing weight while keeping your body healthy. I think you'll feel better for it and you will be more likely to stay on the "program".

I lost a lot of weight recently, but I went on a low calorie diet to do it. After some time, I plateaued and the weight was hardly coming off because my body slowed down. Suprisingly, I bumped the calories up a bit and the weight is coming off at the same pace, but I feel much better for it. It also gives me the energy to exercise longer. In my opinion, for long term success for permanent weight loss, the exercise component is what will help the most. Cutting calories is obviously necessary to lose weight, but the hardest part is maintenance once weight is lost and exercise helps. Good luck.

Hi there! One way to lose weight is to drink alot of water and get rid of the junk food. Also be sure to get plenty of exercise. I heard that Slim Fast shakes work only when you're on them. Once you start eating regulary, the weight will come back. So eat 3 meals a day, make sure to stay away from fast food.

You want to lose 60 lbs. To do so in a healthy fashion and to keep the weight off permanently do NOT lose more than 2 lbs a week, so based on this give yourself about 7 months. The diet that you posted here is too low in calories. What you want to do is burn an additional 1000 calories(at most) per day. For example if you consume 2500 calories per day then you need to burn 3500 per day. By burning 1000 cals a day that translates to 7000 cals a week, which translates to 2 lbs per week, which is the most you should burn.

U need to consume 1200 calories a day if you want to lose weight, and exercise (cardio) for one hour everyday.

I read up some research that SlimFast doesnt really work, and the nutritional needs are less than what your body needs.
