Hi; I'm not really sure what's going on with me medically. I know I have problems with my kidney; but this last 6 weeks have been really bad. I have a lot of abdominal pain, I'm cold all the time, have no appetite, I feel full, have a long list of wierd symptoms. What led me here was the fact that my last few periods have been very irregular. This past cycle my period began as a very watery looking (although having a thicker consistency) substance that was streaked with blood. I only had one day where It was actually like blood; the rest of the time it appeared pinkish at best and was very light. So of course this was very disturbing to me. I googled it and the only pages I could find mentioning this sort of menstrual anomaly were related to uterine cancer. Does anybody know anything about this; or has anyone experienced this in relation to any other medical cause??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You are seeing your internist or ob/gyn, right? This isn't a "watch and wait" situation. Hasta!

Hi Alyss; I have been to my family doctor and discussed these symptoms with him. Unfortunately, he feels like this is a "wait and see" situation. He suggested that this is stress induced due to the fact that I have three kids and work 40/week (Like many of us nowadays)and refused to refer me to a ob/gyn. He has scheduled me for an upper GI x-ray though; he feels like I have an ulcer. But I'm not convinced; I ate curry noodles the other night and I was fine. I would think that an ulcer wouldn't tolerate curry (???) So today I went ahead and called the ob/gyn who delivered my babies and she has agreed to see me without a referral. Thankfully. Thanx for your reply.

Definitely see an OB/GYN. I'm glad you're pursuing that!

It seems odd to me that your symptoms include odd discharge and he thinks you have an ulcer. Just doesn't match. Then again, I'm not a doctor!
