I too am overweight, but I have been ovulating. I have been using those ovulation sticks to predict, but I also experience symptoms every month which also tells me that I'm ovulating. (i.e...mild cramping that lasts anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours, it varies....) I checked with my doctor before trying to conceive and asked the same questions. I also have diabetes in my family and was concerned about my chances of getting that especially while pregnant you can develop gestational diabetes. She found me to be in good health and found no reason why I would have any problems conceiving. I've been trying for a a few months now. This week I happen to be ovulating, and I have been taking since the first day of my last period, Evening Primrose Oil pills 500 mg/2X day for it is supposed to help create more cervical mucus; I took that until I was done ovulating, and thenI also have been taking Robitussin Cough syrup for about a week also prior to ovualtion for it's supposed to help thin out your CM, which boy do both of those items work......and work well..... and last but not least I have been taking herbal green tea, it's suppose to help women to become fertile.... I'm praying that this all will work for me this time. Alot of this stuff I got from reading this message board, and then I also followed up with my own research. I wish you luck in TTC.... Sorry for rambling...

I am way more than 30 pounds overweight and have a beautiful son who is 2 that we conceived when I weighed 30 pounds more than I do now....and now at a lighter weight I am having more problems getting pregnant. So don't worry about your weight...it really has little impact on your fertility or pregnancy unless you are severely obese.
What are you doing to help yourself along? Charting, supplements, positioning etc.?
