I have read a lot of messages here before I have decided to post myself, I hope you are all not going to be bored by another question of this type.
My problem is I need to lose weight and kind of quickly due to a foot complaint that requires I alleviate some pressure on my feet on a daily basis. I am 3 stone overweight due to medication which I cannot stop taking.
I walk about 2 miles a day, do 5 minutes on a stationary bike and do a few pectoral exercises a day for a few minutes. Food wise: I eat one bowl of cereal with semi skimmed milk, 2 slices of bread, salami and margarine for dinner and a sensible meal at night, no pudding, usually veggies and a pie or something similar in calories, very very few snacks and dilute squash for drink which is low calorie anyway.
As I hope you can see, I barely must be eating enough as it is, let alone I am overeating, I don't eat chocolate or crisps and only 6 teas a month include fries the rest is either veggies or pasta or rice, all my food apart from fries is oven baked not fried.
I have tried the cabbage soup diet and stuck to it!! I lost quite a lot of weight but put it all back on very quickly, I've heard that is the case for a lot of people. Because of my size and the season here in UK it is very hard to exercise for too long as the heat becomes unbearable and I cannot go to a pool or gym as I am agoraphobic, gosh would I love to swim in this weather :)
So, there in lies my problem, I need to lose the weight rather quickly for health reasons but as you can see I am not exaclty a cake and chocolate eater or a binger or a snacker, my meals are actually healthy as it is :(
I read somewhere that a lady went on the cabbage soup diet minus the soup, just basically eating fruit and vegetables and drinking water, would this maybe be an idea for me? I can live with dropping the cereal and sandwich for fruit and veggies and I could probably stick to it for a good couple of weeks, it also wouldn't cost too much which is also a factor??? Ideas anyone on this plan?
I have eaten roughly the same for the last year and have stuck to the same weight of 11 stone 3 lbs for all that time give or take a pound or two, the tablets really don't like me losing weight :(
So, any ideas would be very graciously recieved with my problem.
Many many thanks.

Hi there.
After much searching of the internet all last night, reading these boards and old messages and writing to 'experts' for advice I have finally come up with a diet plan that I think will work for me and shift some weight a little speedier than usual.
I am having 3 fruit and vegetable only days out of 7, the other 4 days I will eat cereal for breakfast, one sandwich for dinner and veggies and something about 400 calories for tea (my old usual days meals).
I weighed myself this morning and I am 11 stone 5 lbs
I will weight myself in exactly one week and see how the diet is going. So far today is day one and I have had a plum and a banana for breakfast, I am having a salad for dinner and veggies for tea, it doesn't sound too bad or too hard to do and I have read on a board that someone did this diet and lost 4lbs in one week!!
The good thing about this is, if I lose loads of weight but when I change back to normal foods I put weight back on then the good thing is I CAN live like this permanently if I need to, one day on, one day off sort of thing.
Another good thing, it's not pills, it's not potions, it's not fad-dy, I believe it is simply eating as mother nature intended with no processed rubbish, nice and natural and healthy.
So, many thanks for the support and I hope to become a regular contributer to this great board, hopefully with a lot of stories of success about this new diet I have just begun.
Wish me luck......
