Hello everyone. Big question for all of you who live in humid climates and have shiny T-zones. Background first: I have been using Milk of Mag daily. After I cleanse my face (Cetaphil or gentle exfoliant, SOMETIMES followed by homemade toner) and after I have put on eye cream, I cover the rest of my face with Milk of Magnesia. I let it dry and then I lightly buff it off. I use a tinted moisturizer (Smooth Operator by Tarte/it's only ok) that I mix with VERY small amounts of MOM and water. I am trying to get away from a heavy foundation look for summer and perhaps the rest of the year. (Foundation is too aging) This is the ONLY way my T zone doesn't shine and it's the only way to keep both tinted moisturizer & concealer (also MOM method-applied) from slipping. I have tried every other primer on the market and not one did a bit of good. My question: is it healthy to put MOM on your face regularly and/or to mix it w/tinted foundation and concealer? My skin is fairly clear and does not have a reaction to the MOM but it is not a product formulated for the face. Also, what's everybody's opinion about translucent powder in the summer? Should I ditch powder altogether? Even for the rest of the year? Looking forward to lots of responses....and hints, tips, etc.
