Hi everyone.. I'm a newbie..
Let's see.. I am 41 with a preschooler and a toddler. Last week, I finally got off my "I'm a working mom, with 2 small children,I should just BE this tired.. Lifting a 30 lb toddler daya after day.. or course I hurt" duff and went to the doctor.
After A TON of questions, check of 18 places, she indicated that she thinks FM, but needs to rule out other stuff.
Blood work revealed no Lupus, RA or thyroid issues. Xrays revealed a little bit of Arthritis in Lumbar spine and a little bit of spondylosis on C-spine. Doc said she does not think this is what is causing all of my pain, but did not again mention FM. She said she would like for me to do yoga 3-4 times a week and call her in a couple of weeks to see how I am doing..
In the meanwhile I am taking 800 mg IB 3x a day. Bendryl at night and Culturelle to help with my tummy ;)
Should I just start on a vitamin/enzyme program.. or wait????

Tina, I would follow what the doc suggested. If it is fibro you will know soon enough. Check the sticky post at the top and see how many symptoms you can relate to. A vitamin regimen is very good, I have been taking one for quite a while, but be sure to check with your doc. Exercise is suppose to be very good for fibro also, especially the stretching kind. I'm not big on yoga so my doc suggested low impact aerobics which I try as often as possible.

By the way, welcome to the boards you will find some great help and suggestions from the caring people here. Glad to have you join us.
