Ok, so yesterday I was in my therapy session and out of nowhere I got really hot. My arms felt like they were on fire, then my hands. It went all the way up to my head and my head felt like it was going to explode. I of course panicked and felt as if I was going to faint. Has anyone else ever had this happen? I've had mild burning sensations in my arms before but nothing like this. It hasn't happened since either.

I did call my dr.'s office but they werent' much help. Offered to see me next week but couldn't offer any advice, help, ect. My therapist thought it was an anxiety or panic attack (which I've been having a lot and take Xanax) but I've never had an attack like that before. I'm still worrying about it today.

I've had all the heart work up and an MRI. That was all normal. Please tell me someone else has experienced this and it was just anxiety/panic!!

that is how all my hell began. I was cleaning my daughters dresser drawer and bam out of no where it hit..I got super dizzy and thought my body was going to explode because it was so so hot. You are not alone. It continued for some time untill i found out it was anxiety that was doing it...

You're not alone.
Every panic attack I ever had....and I used to have them daily...started out with the burning up feeling you describe.

I had this sensation once not too long ago. I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and all of a sudden my skin started burning all over. It was an awful feeling and I contributed it to Effexor, an antidepressant I had recently been prescribed. I stopped using it and hadn't really had much issue with the burning until I went on Lexapro. But my dose is very small (5mg) and it's only a mild sensation on certain parts of my body and it eventually goes away.

I experience hot sensations almost every time I get anxious. It's very uncomfortable but I realized it's harmless. I also get these "hot flashes" sometimes when I wake up during the night. Usually they're followed by a racing heart.
