I am seriously considering starting a fast, whether it is just water or with juice. I have read up on it, but I thought I would post to see if anyone had some advice as to when I should do it, how long, etc. It would be my first one and I am thinking about doing it because I am only 24 and I feel like I am 60. I thought it might help get some stuff out of my body that is making me so sluggish. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've never fasted but my cousin does. She will fast for three days and drink both water and "pure" juices only. She's been doing this for yrs. Best of Health!

Hey I am starting a fast tommrow as I am quitting smoking and trying to get in shape to try and help my OCD. Heres my plan I read this in a GNC book. Eat only fruits and water or juice, no orange juice. The book said u can squeeze lemon into water and grapejuice was my pick so thats all i remembered but u have to do 3 parts juice 1 part water. Anyway after preparing your body for the fast since its your first time, and mine lol, were getting the body usd to it. Then for 3 days only lemon water and grape juice water, then it said 2 days of fruit and u can resume diet. I dont know if Ill do 2 days more of fruit I might only do one and resume diet slowly and healthily from then on. After I regain my stregnth I will begin a rigorous exercise plan using the billy blanks bootcamp i ordered, but since im in crappy shape now I dont know how easily Ill be able to jump into that. Anyway, Ill try and keep my results from day to day posted if you wanna use me as your gineau pig (mispelled I'm sure) feel free Ill be posting.
