It's been awhile but let me try and remember, maybe this will help a little bit. I charted my temps when I got pg with our dd, almost 2 now, and it worked for me. I used a regular thermometer and just took my temp under my tongue every morning at same time before I got out of bed. It will stay low when on AF and until you OV, mine went up each month when I O'd and when i got pg it stayed up and I knew on day 11 that I was pg. It was cool. Actually, this is what helped me realize that I O'd late, around day 20 or 21, cycles were longer, and not on the usual day 14 like they say.

I read a wonderful book that helped me learn all about charting my temps and fertility but I don't think I can give book names here so you just may want to look up books on fertility and charting basal temps etc... Hope this helped a little bit. Good luck.
