After a year of suffering and having the regular MD's tell me I was "healthy" I found a Naturopathic Physician that picked up on many things none of them ever even bothered to investigate including possible thyroid problems, blood proteins, etc. I will spare you those details but I would like to encourage any of you who can not get to the bottom of your problems to consider medical thermography. I think the equipment is called a meditherm but that could be a brand.

Essentially the procedure is nothing more than taking pictures of your body from a distance of about 5 to 10 feet. Just like having any other picture taken. You feel nothing. The camera images the heat coming off your body. I paid around $150 for the entire body scan and it took about half hour.

The results were nothing short of astounding. I should mention that a primary target of the device is to determine pain and inflammation that would be missed by XRay and MRI.

I have already been diagnosed via MRI with Chronic Sinusitis and herniated discs in my neck. All of which were picked up by this thermal imaging equipment. In addition it picked up a small TMJ on my right jaw (which my dentist did not ever pick up on even though I asked him several times to check me for). I know I have TMJ now because the ENT that examined me the week before also suggested I have a small TMJ component.

So I guess what I am saying is this test picked up all the things I knew I already had - therefore I believe it's a valid and very useful Device and NON INVASIVE testing procedure. Furthermore I told my new doctor I do not seem to have leg problems and lo and behold (cliche?) the scan showed my legs to be normal. But it did find massive inflammation up and down my back and in places I feel "heat" but not pain. Further testing via electro cardiogram and some kind of metabolic testing that measures the gases you breathe in and out confirm I have inflammation all over the trunk of my body.

I am awaiting the results of the lab who reads the images for a more definitive diagnosis. But what is so neat about this test is the doctor can scan you and you can see the preliminary results right on the computer screen as they are doing this. Then they can ask you about injuries, etc. You will be amazed at the results. So this is an incredible tool that general allopathic medicene seems to be missing. And it definitely confirms I have some serious health issues that need to be addressed. So no more MD's for me! I'll stick to Naturopaths. My doctor went to medical school in Germany by the way. I have spoken to another patient of hers that has been hospitalized in Germany and he says the care there was unbelievable compared to what you recieve in the USA. The hospitals actually try to figure out what is really wrong with you. Now there is a concept! So please consider this technology if you keep getting the "go home and get better" diagnosis or they just try to put you on anti-anxiety or anti-depressants.

Also I am trying to find a physician who uses CAVITAT technology to test my jawbone, but so far I have not located one. My doctor also thinks there are problems with my teeth (I had my amalgams replaced but she still thinks there are problems). Turns out infection doesn't always show on X-Rays and there can be real problems with toxins in the jawbone. Well I'm too tired to keep writing, just please consider this technology. I DO NOT have any affiliaton with any of the companies or things I talk about, I am just happy to finally be getting at least a partial diagnosis.

I haven't heard of this diagnostic tool before, but it sounds very interesting. Did they suggest a treatment for the inflammation yet?

For inflammation: IV Drip - antibiotics, vitamin C, B Vitamins, Glutathione - don't know how long it will take. I also had Ultraviolet light blood irradiation in an effort to kill pathogens creating inflammation. No specific pathogens have been identified other than Epstein Barr, but the lab tests show it's not active just higher than normal. I am also supplementing many things like pumpkin oil seed, fish oil, flax oil, etc.

That does sound awesome, but I live in Wyoming. Nothing like that here I bet. I am 3 hours from Denver Co. though. I have a bulging disc in my neck too and probable MS. I'll try to look into this. Thanks for sharing this new technology with us.

Yes MRI's are thousands. My first one was $2,800 and the second was $3,400. One was for brain the other for neck and back. I've read that book to, and I keep reading posts of people bashing him, so I'm not sure what to believe. I havent read one good thing posted yet about him or his book, and I read it and I thought it was pretty good. It makes you want to just live in a bubble though. It's changed the way I read lables and I want to get into more organic stuff, but I dont think it will cure me.

The Dermitron is NOT the same as Medical Thermography like the Meditherm. A Dermitron measures electrical conductivity and is an Electrical Accupuncture type device. The Meditherm does not treat any disease, it is purely a diagnostic tool like an MRI. It works like a camera taking pictures of the heat coming off your body. The images show where your body is giving off excess heat which is an indicator of illness and inflammation. My Medical Thermography examination verified EXACTLY the information on my MRI but showed more detail as to where I had inflammation. It also picked up a TMJ problem that neither the Endodontist nor my Dentist picked up. This was about a week after my visit to the ENT. The ENT said I had TMJ. So this scan is pretty incredible and is an adjunct to other forms of scanning MRI, CT, etc. not a treatment.
