Hi Hippies! Hope everyone is enjoying the summer and all the vacations, camping, summer homes , etc. Glad to see new people on the boards.

I got a letter yesterday from my insurance company saying that my dr will no longer be participating in my plan. I couldn't believe it. I can go to him with an exisiting condition for up to l20 days. I have my one year appt checkup in Jan. I guess I will call and make it in Dec since that will be within the time limit. Has this happened to anyone else?

Just wondering, how many times do you go back after one year checkup? Is it every year or only if there is a problem? Balleteach, you may be the best person to answer this since you had your surgery so long ago....If I have to keep going to be checked it will be weird to go to another dr, since I really did like this one.

Hi Silver, I go once a year for an x-ray and check-up with my surgeon. My appointment is this coming Tues. on the 23rd. I understand how you feel about changing doctors. I would be EXTREMELY unhappy if I had to change. I told my Dr. that he can't retire before I need a redo!! Maybe your Dr. will be able to refer you to another good Dr. to continue with. Did they give you any reason why he isn't part of your insurance plan anymore? Well at least you are going to be able to see him one more time. Talk to you later...balleteach
