Hi Toni,

Have you recently cut down on caffine? You might be experiencing withdrawel symptoms.

Well, what does your new diet consist of? If you aren't getting enough protein, it can cause headaches. Also, fluid consumption may be directly related to body size. Since we are all of different sizes, you may require more water than others. I heard of a new guideline on water intake. It was awhile ago, but it seemed like a lot more than the typical 8 glasses a day. I'm not sure, but they said something like 8 oz of water for every 10 (?) pounds of weight. Like I said it seemed like a lot to me, but like I said I can't remember exactly. Perhaps someone else remembers hearing this?

dinner-brown rice,chicken,veg
if still hungry later carrot sticks or fruit

ive been told to eat 6 small meals everyday about every 3 hours also to drink lots of water.i was wondering could i add some no added sugar juice to the water?would i still get the same bebefits.it only has 4 cals per 250ml

You might check the sodium content in some of your choices, like the shredded wheat and the soup, that could certainly increase your thirst.

Drinking water alone is good because it hydrates you and fills you up, without any extra sugar or calories or fat, and so you may end up eating less in the long run. It also keeps things running smoothly in your body, and prevents dehydration.

If you add drink crystals to it, it's still basically the same thing, but, depending on the crystals, it may add some sugar and calories to your diet, and depending on how much you drink, this may sabotage your diet progress.

Ultimately it doesn't really matter- drinking something is important, and if you can't stomach water on its own, adding a low cal/low sugar mix to it is not that big of a deal.

You could also use a little squeeze of lemon to help the taste.

You might want to get a blood test for diabetes. Dry mouth/thirsty a lot is one of the symptoms. Urinating at night is another symptom.

Hi Tony!!
Thanks for answering my question. I live in California but I find that people on these boards are from all over so I am not sure if it is an American site?? Good question.
Ok so about the milk..... I have never seen it where I live. I drink skim or fat free milk and I like the taste so I was just being curious :) Here we have:
Vitamin D - Full fat milk
2% Milk
1% Milk
Skim Milk
So my guess would be that semi skim is about equal to 1% or 2% b/c they are much lower in fat but still has the thickness and flavor of regular milk.

Something like Crystal Light or Wyler's drinks...no sugar, are delicious ways to enhance the water drinking experience. I live on them.
