I did a cone biopsy last march for moderate dysplasia ,,clear margins...my followup pap last week however is abnormal but mild dysplasia,,my doctor was pleased that it's mild however still wants second opinion from oncologist ,,he wants my whole pelvic area checked with copolscopy and then just do a repap in 3 months cause he feels since its mild ,,its just persistant and still has a chance to regress and build immunity to it,,,BUT he also mentioned if I do a hysterectomy that there's always a chance to get to vaginal wall causing vaginal cancer and he also wants that checked by the oncolgist to make sure there is no abnormalities there also.....after all these procedures Ive done ,,colpos,,biopsy one leep and last was cone biopsy,,now I hear the word vaginal dysplasia???????????? Can someone please tell me whats going on????? Thank you any response will be helpful...

To my knowledge, vaginal cancer is fairly uncommon.
