That "cryo" whatever process has been around for awhile now and I'm wondering how much it's been perfected. Any reports from anyone regarding freezing-killing the prostate? Could this be done as a routine procedure in the future?

Hi My husband was given that option for his cancer. Our doctor told us that if he has it frozen and it didn't work he would have to have surgery. But we were told that it is more difficult to remove after freezing because it turns the prostate into the likings of a marshmellow and there is more of a chance damaging the nerves that control urine and erections. He had his surgery in March his second psa is still at 0.1 his recovery was great no leaking he is running again and biking ( he is 52 ). I hope this helps take care and stay safe geifer
