why am I having "trigger thumb" and why do my joints feel awful if my xrays say "no plain film evidence of significatnt arthritis in either hand" "unremarkable plain film study of the feet. No significant arthritis!"

What am I to think now? Nothing wrong with me? All in my head? my fingers are beginning to be deformed and I have nodes on two of my fingers (one finger and thumb!) I woke up two nights in a row from trigger finger!!!!!!!

Trigger Finger or Thumb is mostly caused by the thickening of Tendon below
the Finger or Thumb. Your Doctor can give you an injection of Cortisone below the Finger or Thumb to relieve the pain and the lock. If this doesn't work and symptom persists, you might want to see an Orthopaedic Doctor for considering a minor surgery to divide the pulley inside of your Finger or Thumb and let the Tendon moves smoothly. Pain and Lock will then be solved.
X-Rays might not show the thickening of Tendon. Therefore, they show negative. I think you should have a general idea after you have visited the HandUniversity web site. Hope this will help you.

is it possible to have neg xrays and neg blood work and still have arthritis :confused:
