Just wanted to know if anyone on ADs has labwork done on any regular basis. For as long as I have been seeing my psychiatrist for medication modifications/regulation he has never once done labs and I think that's kind of weird but thought I'd check to see if its just me thinking that.

I've never heard of it, and if it happens, I wouldn't think it would be very common. Usually the only psychiatric meds that require blood work are the mood stabilizers for bipolar disorder, especially lithium, because high levels will cause a potentially fatal condition called lithium toxicity. I wouldn't worry, though, if your doctor isn't taking blood work; I've been on Zoloft for 2 1/2 years, and so far, my doctor hasn't drawn blood because of my medication.

I guess my thought on that was, maybe my depression is a symptom of something else and not just something to be treated by itself - maybe that's why none of the meds are working. I don't know - I keep feeling like I'm searching only the buried treasure is on some other island!
