since i started my period today..do i finish out my placebos until saturday..then start new pill pack on sunday? i have 4 placebos left..so this adds up right i think.

Yes, keep taking your placebos (or just keep track of them) and on the day after they run out, start a new pack of pills.

are you protected right away now when u start the new pack..since i already finished one pack?

Yes. So long as you go no longer then seven days without an active ("real") pill, then you will be as protected as possible when you start your new pack (ie 99.9% if you've taken it perfectly).

ok well...i started my placebos on 21st..i will be done with them at night on the 27th then i will start up my active pills again on the 28th...will i be protected then? because isnt that 8 days not 7?

im just confused a little because u said 7 days. i want to make sure im protected still when i start another pack...my last placebo is to be taken saturday [as it says on my dialpack] so that means start my first active pill again sunday right? since i started taking BC on a sunday anyways

You will be protected right away. :) Yes, I said seven days, but you will be protected so long as on the eight day you start your pills. That way you actually only go seven days without a hormone pill.

You will always start each new pack on a Sunday since that's the day you originally started on.
