I was told earlier today by a Friend that works at a Hlth Food store(she was told by an Herbalist)to pick medium size ripened Polk Berries and swallow(not chew because they are poisonous)2 for 17 days or 1 per day for 35 days to help with the Lymphatic system. Was wondering if anyone else had heard of this.

I wouldn't want to be swallowing anything poisonous though. Wouldn't that still be considered dangerous?

Concerned Male,
I was leary of it myself when she told me..for example..where I'm from we pick and eat Polk Salad greens yearly.I don't know if you know much about it or not but it is a green that grows wild.It is very poisonous..before eating you have to wash it and cook it 2-3 times to get all the poison out..been eating it all my life and I'm still here so..I would probably have to ask around a few times before I did swallow Polk berries but I do eat Polk Salad..
