 Hi. Three years ago I quit taking hormone therapy (Prempro). I still have hot flashes, especially in the a.m. A new doctor prescribed clonidine, a high blood pressure medicine (I have normal BP)very low dosage, but I find I have not been able to sleep a full night since taking them. They help somewhat for the sweats, but I want to sleep! Anybody have similar experience ?

hi i have taken clonidine for 3 years for high blood pressure. it is also at times prescribed for hot flashes and night sweats. doesn't take care of mine but i think that is because i have HBP. it also keeps me up at night even though it says it should make you sleepy. i have taken mine first thing in the morning for years. seems to not keep me up at night when taken in the morning.
