I took Paxil years ago & remember feeling drowsy at first, but then got used to it. (I went off the Paxil a few years ago).

I just started Lexapro 3 days ago, and am sooo drowsy & don't want to do anything. I remember feeling this way with Paxil - but wonder how long this typically lasts?

I appreciate your help, thanks.

There isn't a "set" time. It normally takes a few weeks to "get used" to a new pill, but some people find that the drowsiness never goes away.

Would you consider taking it at bedtime? That might alleviate some of the daytime drowsiness.

I started zoloft, and was like that too, dr suggested I take it at night, which made me sleep very nicely, so that might be an idea
