So i stocked up on fruits and veggies last night and started my all raw diet today. Has anyone ever tried or heard any first hand experience about this diet?

Are you intending this as a short-term fast or as a long-term eating plan?

I'm not intentionally on a raw diet, but I personally prefer to eat raw fruits and vegetables to anything else. I eat salads for lunch and dinner, and this is exactly what I want. I do eat cheese and meats, it's just that I'd choose raw veggies if they are available. I've been eating this way for almost 2 years now, and I'm loving it!
I don't think you can go wrong, as long as you are incorporating other foods for a well-balanced diet. As long as you feel well and enjoy what you are eating, you should be fine. ;)

I was going to try to make it a long term eating plan. However, im not sure i will be able to find enough variety to keep satisfied. Guess i shall soon see.

I'm all with Allys for including lots of raw veggies and fruits in your diet, but personally I don't think most people can maintain health eating only raw veggies and fruits.

it wouldn't be a good idea to eat just raw fruits and veg because you would be lacking in protein and EFAs but diet consisiting of large amount of raw food is the best. raw foods have not have their vitamin and their enzyme content reduced/ destroyed by cooking. enzymes in raw food are the stuff of life. if you eat food that is denatured due to cooking you should expect to feel lifeless in comparison.

i was the same. i hate salads. my life changed in that regard when i bought a juicing machine. if you don't like the taste of raw veg then its great becausde you use a base of carrot, lemon, apple juice (50%) and then use the more potent nutrient dense veggies like broccoli, cabbage etc for the other 50%. the whole thing has a lovely lomony sweet taste but you get the benfit of the other veggies too. i then add spirulina and barley grass powder to the mix, ground live flax seed powder and aloe vera juice for extra protein, good fats, fibre and enzymes. the thing is packed full of nutrients. i would love to have one of the drinks analysed to see how the nutrient content really is. you pick up a juicer for about £40. the best money i ever spent! don't be worried about stripping away the fibre from the veg- the apple pectin stops any surges in blood sugar level together with the protein and good fat in the stuff i add to it. also veggies aren't too high in sugar anyway and i eat all my fruit to make sure i get enough veggie/ fruit fibre each day for proper bowel functioning.
