hiya, i really want to start a detox diet in the new year (i sugger from CFS and heard getting rid of toxins can help) but i have no idea where to start with detoxes there seem to be so many different types, can anyone recomend any, and tell me what they kinda envolvle and what effects they have please etc, or share any experiences with me please

Hi there

I have been detoxing steadily for the last 3 months. I havent bought any one specific detox supplement as they can be very pricey!

What I have done is approach it from a holistic point of view. I have cut out the alcohol (great start and now i dont even enjoy one glass), i switched from drinking fizzy drinks to bottled water and low sugar juice. Just doing these 2 things dramatically reduced the amount of bloating around my stomach.

I then started taking many vitamins and minerals, mainly individual high-strength ones. Now I take Vit C 1000mg, Vitamin B-100 Complex, Zinc, Magnesium, Starflower Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin E and psyllium husks which are a great source of fibre and scour the walls of your large intestine, ridding it of toxins and therefore improving many other areas of your health e.g my skin has become more radiant and i have a lot more energy.

I also try and eat organic foods, less fat and exercise at least once a week. I have lost 6-7 pounds in the last 2 months and i feel great.

Small changes = huge benefits!
