What do people with hypo do in the morning if their sugar drops and they get to feeling poorly, I'm talking at 4 or 5 in the morning. I eat some sugar and some protein at 11 to try and get thru most of the night I can. Then have to get up at 5 and do it again. Is there an easier way?

When I wake up and I am feeling "low BS", I make a peanut butter sand or I eat a spoon full of peanut butter or a glass of milk.

It seems to me that you're taking too much Lantus at night. Maybe you can cut down on that (by one unit at a time) and then take extra bolus with meals, if needed. Or, if you're not comfortable with that then you can keep some juice boxes near your bed and either have one before you go to sleep (with your other sugar and protein) or you can drink it later on during the night.
