I am on my 6 pack of bcp (mircette) I don't remember what my first period on the pill was like but since then it has been 2 weeks, 2 weeks, 8 days and 10 days long. With my 6th pack, I start spotting on thursday of the second week, I was pissed because I thought oh great another 2 week long period so I went to pp that next day and got some different pills with higher estrogen (levlen) Well shocker the bleeding lasted a little over 24 hours and stopped.

With this 6th pack I finally got my period on the last week, started late monday and today is friday and it is still going (it seems to be getting lighter each day though, knock on wood) and I had the weird 24 hour spotting 2 weeks into the pack.

So I don't know if I should change pills now, besides the extra long periods mircette has helped my acne. Could I just now in the 6th pack be getting used to it?!?!? I know with my first pack of pills a week into it I took plan B, could that have messed it up for so long?? I am so confused lol. I guess if I am still bleeding sunday when I am supposed to start a new pack, I will switch to levlen, but if not stay on mircette. I really don't want to switch but I can't deal with long periods anymore. Then I keep thinking if I stay on mircette I could get a long period in the next pack....argh!!!

You could try a switch to Desogen, since it has the same progestin as Mircette, it should have the same effect on your acne, only it has more estrogen in it, so it should better control your bleeding.
