We had to move this weekend. So..I worked like a dog for three days. Now My head feels like it is full of cotton, I cant seem to focus on anything, and my vision is really wierd. I feel very dscinnected, and anxious. Can this happen to us MS'ers if we over exert ourselves? I felt great while doing the work, but as soon as I stop, I am wiped out. Feels like I have a high fever, but I dont. Very wierd and spacey!!!

Yes, yes, yes. In the morning I usually feel pretty good other than fatigued. I can go golfing, do gardening, work outside the home and then "it" hits. I've not found "the button" yet, so I do what I can and when it's time to stop, I stop. Also, you may find that the day after the event, you feel the repurcussions.

Yes, this happens to me all the time, you feel great while doing whatever and then it hits you and you are wondering what the heck is going on!
I just drag myself to a chair and rest, and drink water, drink lots of water I really think that helps me, because the old stand by caffeine doesn't work any more.
If it is hot, get in front of a fan and rest, that is all that you can do. I know how frustrating it can get when you are used to being busy, and doing everything yourself, but learn to say no or I can't do that right now and just realize what you can do, and pick your battles. It is hard but it will make those cotton headed times not occur so much, and it gets easier
Don't worry you are not alone!

J1P: The last time I moved myself was 3 years ago, before my sx. But I vowed then that it was the VERY LAST TIME I would move myself. I've moved since, hired overpriced, rather smelly guys. We really have to learn to let someone else do certain things for us. Moving is most definitely one of those things. Last move was a year ago last month. Even supervising the smelly guys was taxing, took me about two weeks to recover. GO TO BED!
