whenever i shave down under, i get these bumps, some are very large and painful they r like boils, and i get some smaller pimples that when i pop them pus oozes out and when they heal they leave scars.im really scared because i dont wanna have any such diseases.
It Sounds Like Herpes You Need To Go Get Tested So That You Will Know. It Is Better To Know So You Can Get Help And Medication Then To Continue To Worry I Understand! The Same Happen To Me.

Hi cuite19,
Noone wants to have anything wrong with themselves, but unfortunately "things happen". Does this only happen to you when you shave?? You could be having an allergic reaction to whatever you are using to shave (shaving cream, etc). You also did not mention any other reason that you think you may have this (sex w/someone you don't know much about?? oral sex w/someone who had a cold sore??)
The only way to know if what you have is herpes, is to be tested for it, so the next time this happens to you, go to your Obgyn, and if you don't have one, there are other facilities (like planned parenthood) that can help you.
The other person who replied to you said the same thing happend to them, however, I never had anything that resembled a boil from herpes. I only ever had a primary, but it was the worst possible outbreak I could ever of imagined. It was clusters of little painful sores that wheeped fluid for about 3-5 days before it started to heal & grow scabs. It was painful & extremely itchy at the same time for me, and depending on the location of the sore, can be very painful to pee. I also felt like I had the flu.
Now, I understand that everyones experience with herpes is diffrent, but it is possible that what you have is something different, so please have it checked out... it is the ONLY way to know for sure. Keep us posted on how everything works out, and try not to worry!
P.S. don't pop these pimples, if it is in fact herpes, you can spread it to other locations, it is contagious even to yourself.

It sounds to me like you are getting infected hair follicles from shaving. Stop shaving and see if that takes care of the problem. The skin down there is often too sensitive for shaving.

Yep, what backpacker said. Try waxing, a lotion depilatory or just trimming the hair instead of shaving.

That happens to me when I shave down there, and I don't have anything...it's just that the skin is really sensitive and the hairs grow back weird. If you are worried, getting tested isn't really that big of a deal and it might make you feel better. But it's probably just after effects from shaving.
If you want to be smooth down there, there are a bunch of alternatives, like waxing, or nair (they have a special kind for bikini areas) and it doesn't make your skin get bumpy and weird :)

Hello everyone... I just saw this and wanted to respond... being that I also shave "down there", I noticed that bumps (either big or small) will appear... I have been shaving for years and finally stop using razors and stuck with scissors... I hope that helps some...
