times new roman[SIZE=3] I started swimming in the pool everyday at my fitness club, well after 1 month it turned the black hair on my arms white and my hair turned orange and it used to be straight and now it is permamnently wavy, even when I flat iron it straIGHT AFTER A COUPLE MINUTES IT GOES BACK WAVY, I am very frustrated I think their was too much chlorine in the pool, can I do anything to straighten my hair or is the shaft destroyed and I have to grow it out? Of course i STOPPED swimming!

chlorine can dry out and change the color of your hair. It is very important to shampoo after swimming. Condition your hair also. You would benefit from using a clarifying shampoo. This removes any unwanted chemicals/minerals from the hair. Also, applying a stay-in conditioner before swimming helps also (if you prefer not to wear a swimming cap). It sounds as if you are past the above now, so I would recommend having some deep conditioning treatments done, or hot oils. See a hairdresser!! You probably need to have regular trimmings and conditioning in order to bring your hair back to health. Good luck!
