Hello. I need some words of encouragement. Starting my diet to lose 20pounds on Thurs 1/9. Any words of wisdom, besides cut calories and exercise??
Last year my husband lost 50 pounds! He just exercised alot and eat real good. His biggest problem was diet and his beer! He told me he needed a major motivator to get him going. One night we were watching a show on tv about people going into the military. And one thing they said was the reason they shaved the heads of the recruits was to "change there mindsets". I told my husband thats what you should do. I will shave your head to change your mindset and get you going into your new healthy ways! It took him some time but he agreed!!! I added one twist, if he were to stray from his path, I would continually shave his head. If he stayed on coarse I'd let him grow his hair back! All I can say is, it took one shaved head and he lost 50 pounds...............BUT I'm not that desperate to lose weight : )
WISH ME LUCK PEOPLE! THANKS

ROFL - You aren't going to shave your own head?
Why not join in the daily food journal? Sometimes it helps to realize how much you're actually eating!
And reward structures work great for weight loss. Maybe you can tell yourself that you can get a new hairstyle that you've been wanting, if you stick to your goals (not if you lose weight, but if you stick to your goals).
