So here is what happened to me...most might not remember.

1. I had an ASCUS pap that was + for high risk HPV. So I got a colpo done by Dr. X. He guesstimates that it will be CIN2-3 based on what he sees during colpo. Turns out to be CIN1 in 2 different spots with a neg ECC. He wants to LEEP. I'm like "heck no." I'm only 24 that was my first abnormal pap, it was only CIN1, I'm getting a 2nd opinion. He says well i think you could still have CIN2-3 in there because that's what I saw on colpo...blah blah blah.

2. I go to Dr. R to get a 2nd opinion. She says no I would not leep for that. Let's do a 2nd colpo. I'm thinking OUCH. but ok. 2nd colpo shows NADA. No biopsies. She just did an ECC to be sure. ECC is neg. She says come back from re-pap in 3 mo.

3. Repeat PAP = NORMAL. Yea. Hopefully it will stay that way! But that just goes to show you that you all are doing great things by educating yourselves. Do not let a dr be too aggressive. If you are questioning it, than get another opinion. Just to think that I could have gone through that LEEP and had a weakened cervix for nothing. No thank you!

Good luck ladies. I hope everything goes well for you too.
