I have decided to get pg with our fourth child. My children now are 5,4,4. The one thing I am concerned about it having a repeat c-section. I hated the one I had with my second twin. I was also told by my doctor that I have a 10% of having twins again. I was reading about ovulation and charts. I have a question, once you ovulate can you get pg anytime after it releases? I never charted with my other two pg's. The first day of my last period was Aug 11th. So when is the best time? Dh will be here on the 26th,27th, and 28th. I was going to wait a year but I feel being 33 that I don't want to wait too long, I also do not want a huge age gap between the children. Anyone else trying this month?

Another question...If I were to ovulate say last weekend, would my egg still be ready to be fertilized or does the egg die after so long once it's released?

I just wanted to wish you luck in the TTC process. I have seen the faces of sadness and tears roll down the eyes of women that truly would be the best moms on the face of the earth. I think you will have your wish in time it just takes a lot of time and patience.
I would of loved to have a fourth with my husband but as fate had its way he had a vasectomy and that hurt more than anyhting when I learned that. We would have made some beautiful kids together but that is nither here nor there.
As for you I am crossing my fingers and wish you a very happy baby making session lol and many more.

When ttc I used this board, its really helpful, the ladies are super supportive and if you do searches there is a wealth of information in previous threads/posts too. Here's a few pointers I have picked up over my ttc time.
* Make a plan!!!!
* What indicators are you going to use to help you predict ovulation? (definately use more than one!)
* Learn through basal body temps what rhythm your cycle has temperature wise. Invest in a personal calender (or print one from MS word). Note your twinges and mucus types, try and establish a rhythm.
* While doing the temperature thing, I would invest in some ovulation predictor sticks, they can detect hormone surges allowing you to know when you are ABOUT to ovulate.
* Your egg is available for fertilisation for 12 hours (approx... nasty window huh!) SO the idea is to find out when you're ABOUT to ovulate then BD (Baby Dance). BD every day to every second day around the window of opportunity. This could be several days... but the idea is to make sure when you release your egg, there is sperm there waiting... OR on its way very shortly
* Take some evening primrose oil, this will increase the amount of clear cm so your DH's 'boys' can live for longer inside you (the clear cm is a protective mechanism for his sperm to survive for longer and allow them to travel further on their quest )
Good luck on your journey.... :wave:
