Hello all.

Had previously posted this in hip/knee replacement but got no replies. However, to the point.

My mother in law is schedulled for a knee replacement in September. Her surgeon has been dithering about making the decision as he believes (although he knows he is not knowledgable enough or quailified to make such statements) that some of her problems relating to the pain issues are due to her multiple schlerosis.

She has been in severe pain from the psuedo gout which the surgeon says will not be cured by the replacement but that her knee is in need of it. BTW, the knee is on her good leg, the other being unable to support her (due to the ms).

i would really welcome any suggestions on after care, what results she may have following the surgery and also,

She suffers from twitching legs (restless leg syndrome ??? ). Has anybody any experience of this whilst having the surgery. I imagine that if her legs carry one twitching then it might be a difficult and prolonged recovery.

any help is much appreciated.
